A bust of Gothmog, a "lord of the rings" character. I started this model for a contest, but I didn't finish it. After more than one years, I decided to finish it, because it seemed to me a pity let it undone. Compared to the orc of the cinematographic trilogy, I made some changes, mainly by extending the neck, for give at the bust a more slender shape. Besides, I opted for a more warm and wet skin.
This is my first lip-synch test. Animation is followed by the model turntable and wireframe. I made rigging, animation and rendering in Cinema 4d and compositing in Combustion.
I modeled a lowpoly mesh in Cinema 4d and, after unwrapping my model in Roadkill, I sculpted and textured it in Zbrush. Then I returned in Cinema 4d for shading, hair, lighting and rendering. At last, pass compositing and color correction in Photoshop.
